Бенчмарк цінової прозорості салонів Центральної Європи 2026
Дослідницьке питання
Can a prospective client understand what a salon visit will cost — and whether that price is final — from public information, before they book, across the four markets?
Обсяг
A structured audit of PUBLIC salon price presentations (website price list, Google Business profile and public booking page). It measures the CLARITY of the published price to a human client. It does not judge whether a price is high or low, does not rank named salons, and is not a legal-compliance assessment of price-indication law.
Період
2026 — single annual edition.
Ринки
Czechia, Poland, Germany, Slovakia. (Austria and Ukraine are out of scope this edition — no comparable sample; a European result is not assumed to hold for those markets.) — Чехія, Польща, Німеччина, Словаччина
Цільова сукупність
Salons that expose any public price information, across business types (hair, barber, nails, lashes/brows, skincare/beauty, massage) in the four markets.
Запланована вибірка
Target 400–800 salon price presentations, distributed across countries and business types. The final number audited is disclosed only after collection.
Критерії включення
- Salons with any public price information (own website price list, Google profile, or public booking page).
- Across business types and across own-site vs marketplace/booking-page pricing.
Критерії виключення
- Salons with no public price at all (phone/DM only) — counted separately as 'no public pricing', never scored as if they had a bad price list.
- Test/staging pages and price lists that are not the salon's current public offer.
Збір даних
- We read only PUBLIC pages. We never book, never contact the salon and never submit personal data.
- Each salon logs 15+ price-clarity signals: price shown before booking, final price vs range, whether 'from/od' is explained, duration shown, add-on/material/removal surcharges explained, length/complexity factors explained, service-name clarity, whether the total is understandable without a call, price consistency across website/Google/booking page, mobile readability, and how findable the price list is.
Система оцінювання
Each salon scores 0–100 across seven dimensions — the Salon Price Clarity Score. The direction is fixed everywhere: 100 = a client can understand the full price before booking, 0 = the price is effectively unknowable without contacting the salon.
100 = fully clear before booking; 0 = effectively unknowable without contact.
| Система оцінювання | % | — |
|---|---|---|
| Price visibility | 20 | A price is shown on a public page before booking, No 'call/DM for price' as the only path |
| Price definiteness | 20 | A final price or an explicitly explained range ('from/od'), The reason a range exists is stated (length, complexity) |
| Add-on & surcharge clarity | 15 | Materials, removal of previous work and length/complexity surcharges are explained, No unexplained 'price may vary' |
| Service-name clarity | 15 | Service names a client understands, not insider jargon, It is clear what the service includes |
| Duration shown | 10 | Service duration is stated, Client can gauge how long the visit takes |
| Cross-channel consistency | 10 | Price matches across website, Google and the booking page, No contradiction between channels |
| Findability & mobile readability | 10 | The price list is easy to find, It is readable on a phone without zooming |

Відсутні дані
A signal that cannot be assessed (e.g. no booking page exists) is recorded with its reason, not silently scored as zero; the 'no public pricing' rate is reported separately from the clarity scores.
Контроль якості
- A written rubric defines each signal so two auditors score a page the same way.
- A random subset is re-scored by a second auditor; disagreements are reconciled and the rubric tightened.
- Ambiguous cases are logged with a screenshot reference, not decided silently.
Можливі викривлення
- Business-type mix differs by country (e.g. more marketplace pricing in some markets), which can shift a country's average — reported alongside the mix, not hidden.
- Auditors read as informed adults; a first-time or non-native client may find the same page less clear than we score it.
Обмеження
- Public information only; a price given verbally by phone is out of scope by design.
- Clarity is not correctness: a clearly shown price we do not verify against the real invoice.
- No salon is named as 'least clear'; only aggregated data and anonymized examples are published.
Конфіденційність
- No bookings are made and no personal data is submitted or stored.
- Only aggregated results and anonymized examples are published — no per-salon 'worst list'.
Політика виправлень
A salon or platform may request a correction with evidence before or after publication; verified corrections are logged in the change log.
Політика оновлень
Annual edition; the change log records every update and any correction.
