How to add a booking link to Instagram, Facebook and Google

By Jan Vancak· Founder of YourSalon3 min read

Your salon has more Instagram followers than ever — and yet the calendar still has gaps. The reason is almost always the same: there's one missing tap between “I like this” and “I have an appointment.” A follower wants to book right now, can't find where, opens the DMs, gets no reply, and goes elsewhere.

This guide shows you how to close that gap — how to add booking to your bio, a button, your Stories and Google, so the journey from post to confirmed appointment takes seconds. It's not extra marketing; it's simply guiding people to the finish line.

Your Instagram bio is the most valuable spot on your whole profile — and most salons waste it on an address or an emoji. Put a direct link to your online booking here, not your homepage, not a Linktree with ten choices. The fewer taps, the more appointments.

  • One main link. Send people straight to the booking page, not a menu.
  • A clear call to action. Instead of “website,” write “Book an appointment.”
  • Consistency. Use the same link in your TikTok and Facebook bios too.

If you're just getting started, work through the guide to setting up online booking first so you have a working link to drop anywhere.

Turn on the “Book” button

Instagram and Facebook can show an action button — Book — right on your profile. It sits above the fold, everyone sees it, and it works in a single tap, with no hunting for a link in the text.

  1. In a professional profile, open “Edit profile” and the action-buttons section.
  2. Choose the “Book” action and paste the URL of your booking page.
  3. Test the button from someone else's phone to confirm it really opens booking.

The button and the bio link don't compete — they work together. For more on tuning the whole profile around bookings, see Instagram marketing for salons.

Add booking to Stories and Reels

Stories and Reels get the most reach, but they vanish unless there's a path onward. On every before-and-after or open-slot post, attach a link sticker pointing to your booking.

  • A link sticker in Stories saying “Book now.”
  • A call to action in Reels — in the caption and out loud: “Booking link is in my bio.”
  • A Highlight named “Booking” so the link is always within reach.

When you show the result and immediately offer the way to get it, you turn inspiration into a booking. That's the heart of how to get more clients from the very content you already create.

Don't forget Google

Plenty of people don't search for you on Instagram — they search on Google and Maps. So your Google Business Profile needs its own Book button.

  • In your Google Business Profile, add your booking link to the bookings field.
  • Check your hours, category and photos — without them the button won't convince anyone.
  • Collect reviews; the better your rating, the more people tap the button.

Visibility in Maps and bookings go hand in hand — see the piece on local SEO for salons. And even your salon website should carry a booking button on every page.

Turn followers into booked clients

The link and the button are only half the job. The other half is removing the friction that puts people off:

  • 24/7 booking, so they can grab a slot at 11 pm.
  • No accounts or passwords — booking in a couple of taps.
  • Automatic confirmation and reminder, so they actually turn up.

This is exactly where online booking saves time while lifting your booking count, because no one is waiting on a DM reply.

Measure what works

Finally, find out where your bookings really come from. Use distinct links or UTM parameters for the bio, Stories and Google, and watch which channel fills the calendar.

  1. Create a separate link for each channel.
  2. Once a week, check where the bookings came from.
  3. Double down on what works and adjust the rest.

Once you measure, you stop guessing. The fastest way to start is to create a free YourSalon account and get a booking link you can drop into Instagram, Facebook and Google in minutes.
